David Morris Thomas Junior
David Morris Thomas Junior was born in January 1867 in Hornsey, Edmonton and was baptised on 13th October 1867 at Christ Church, Crouch End. He grew up in Islington with his family living first in George Mews and then at 5 Mitford Road.

On 19th June 1887 David married Fanny Sellman at St James the Great Church in Bethnal Green, London. Her father was also a coachman.
​
In 1891 David and Fanny were living in Colebrook Row in Islington with their first son Maurice Henry Thomas who had been born the previous year. 26 year old David was employed as gentleman’s groom and coachman - just like his father before him and his father-in-Law.

By 1901 David and his family had moved to Stoke Newington, and in addition to 11 year old Maurice, they now had 3 more children – Louise Maude (7), Frances Annie (4) and George Albert (1).
​
In 1911 David was living at 13 Matthias Road, Mildmay Park, Stoke Newington with his wife and his 4 children. He was still working as a coachman and his eldest daughter Louise (17) had gained employment as brewer’s bottle labeller.
