Eliza & Jospeh Bunclark
Eliza was born in Bawburgh, Norfolk on 2nd January 1860. He father George was a Carpenter. As a child she lived at 24 Church Street.
In 1871 Eliza aged 21 was employed as a domestic servant in the St Stephen Street house of Norwich Cabinet Maker Robert Crowe, his wife Hannah and their 7 children.
Joseph had been born in Shaftesbury Street, Hoxton, on 4th November 1855.
In 1871 when he was 15, he lived at 30 Grange Street, Shoreditch with his parents. His father was working as a Drapers Porter & his mother Charlotte was a lacemaker. Jospeh was working as his mother's assistant and his brother was employed as a clerk. In 1872 his father died.
10 years later in 1882 Joseph Bunclark married Eliza Watts on on Christmas Eve in Hackney.
In 1891 Joseph was a Drapers Manager living and working in Bulls Lane Finchley. There was also Draper's apprentice called Edith Woung living with them. He and Eliza now had 4 children - Lilian, Charles, Reginald and Grace. Joseph's mother Charlotte had been living with the family but passed away aged 69 later that year.
In 1901 the family were living at 37 Himley Road, Tooting Graveney, London. Jospeh and Eliza had 2 more children - Cyril and Gladys. Joseph was still working as a Draper and his son Charles was now working as an office boy & Porter. Eldest daughter Lilian had left home and was working as a live-in draper's assistant in London. Eliza's mother, Matilda also lived with the family until her death.
In 1911 the family had moved to 76 Seymour Ave, Tottenham. 55 year old Joseph was still working as a Drapers Shop Assistant. Charles was employed as a clerk in a furniture store, Reginald was a bank messenger & Cyril was a stockbrokers clerk.
Between 1922 - 1928 Eliza and Joseph were living in Manor Road Tottenham. Joseph Henry Bunclarke passed away in 1928 and Eliza
